LEIF PETERSON MLA Partner – Design

Leveraging his experience in the design, construction and consulting industries, Leif provides leadership and oversight to the design team’s workflows, “design-to-construction” viability and acts as the liaison between the Landscape Architecture and Construction teams.

As a designer, he focuses on offering unique solutions specific to client needs while balancing sustainability, programmatic utility and aesthetic beauty. Leif’s work encompasses a broad range of project types including; Residential, Adaptive Re-use, Lifestyle, Streetscapes, Urban Design, Transit Infrastructure, Housing Development, Storm-water Management and Ecological Restoration.

Prior to founding PEBL, Leif spent 10 years working as a technical consultant where he had the opportunity to work on a range of projects including; Beverley Taylor Sorenson Center for the Arts (Cedar City, Utah), Port Moresby International Airport (Papua New Guinea), Roland Garros International Airport (Reunion Island), the Rwandan Institute for Conservation Agriculture, and 2018 LILA International Garden Award winner “Lake Marion”. A graduate of the University of Minnesota (MLA) and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (BS Arch), Leif enjoys composing music, spending time with family and jogging Minneapolis’ chain of lakes.
