Renovation breathes life into this family home.

Completed in the Fall of 2018, this residential remodel provides a dramatic counterpoint to the home’s sweeping architecture and extensive grounds. Multiple “rooms” are drawn together by a linear art garden, edged by a sweeping prairie planting, and framed by an edge of arborvitae. The success of this project was driven by its ability to connect the interior of the home to the outdoor experience., revealing the home’s potential for entertainment and outdoor recreation. The new landscape complements the architecture’s integrity and scale through a cohesive response in materials, detail, and form, the spaces extend the interior experience and invite everyone to enjoy the outdoors.
